Discussion relating to East Midlands Trains.
East Midlands Trains are the current holder of the East Midlands rail franchise, having taken over from Midland Mainline and Central Trains on 11 November 2007. East Midlands Trains' franchise is scheduled to run until 4 March 2018. The franchise is currently operated by Stagecoach.
East Midlands Trains' fleet currently consists of 12 InterCity 125 sets, 17 Class 153 Sprinter units, 15 Class 156 Sprinter units, 25 Class 158 Sprinter units and 27 Class 222 Meridian units. Services are operated along the Midland Main Line between London St. Pancras and Corby, Leicester, Nottingham and Sheffield; between Liverpool Lime Street and Norwich via Sheffield; and on local services across the East Midlands.
