Discussion relating to TransPennine Express.
TransPennine Express are the current holder of the TransPennine Express rail franchise, having taken over from First TransPennine Express on 1 April 2016. TransPennine Express' franchise is scheduled to run until 31 March 2023. The franchise is currently operated by FirstGroup.
TransPennine Express' fleet currently consists of 4 Class 170/3 Turbostar units, 51 Class 185 Desiro units and 10 Class 350/4 Desiro units. Services are operated across North West England, North East England, Yorkshire and the Humber and parts of Scotland.
